520 | _aThe article focuses on all the articles of the journal which, since its creation in 1973, address the impact of demography on development trajectories. Even if these are relatively few, they illustrate an evolution in how the relationship between demography and development is approached, from an emphasis on the impact of population growth, or even “population explosion”, in the late twentieth century to, in the last two decades, the effect of the demographic transition on the age structure of the population and its possible impact on the pace of growth and development. At the same time, the impact of migration has been present throughout the journal’s existence. JEL Codes: J11, J13, J14, J16, J18, J61, O11 | ||
