520			_aThis document is dedicated to a little known episode in the life of Georges Sorel, his support of the cause of Egyptian independence in the aftermath of the First World War. It brings together four articles published in 1920, including three that appeared in Egypt and one in a small review published in Paris by proponents of the Egyptian cause. The introduction presents the circumstances – still unclear – of a rare manifestation of anticolonial engagement on the part of Sorel and asks if it is possible to interpret it as indicating an evolution of his thought in a “third-worldist” direction.
