520 _aTo mark twenty years of the REIN (French Renal Epidemiology and Information Network), a summary report on the contributions of the French national end-stage kidney disease (ESKD) registry was produced. On its international role, a number of key takeaways were identified. Right from its inception, the REIN registry has been part of the family of European registries under the direction of the European Renal Association (ERA) and its registry based at the Academic Medical Center in Amsterdam. In this context, the REIN registry has been part of numerous international publications and projects funded by the European Commission. The expertise of the French Biomedicine Agency and REIN on the registries has been sought on several occasions in the context of setting up renal replacement therapy registries. Several foreign students from outside the European Union have also worked in the REIN national coordination team.© 2022 Société francophone de néphrologie, dialyse et transplantation.
