520 _aThis article analyzes the roller derby, an underground, spectacular and feminist contact sport, from the experience of the bodily transformations that it involves. An examination of the bodily work related to sports is coupled with a feminist perspective that is radically inclusive of diverse identities and corporealities, structuring the practice and shaping experiences. Using a phenomenological framework that understands incorporation as a dynamic process that links the body, the self and gender in a continuum, this analysis focuses on the bodily markers that bear witness to transformation. Roller derby, as a leisure activity relying on the body, is thus portrayed as a feminist tool with the potential to transform gender relations.
