520 _aThe philosophy of L’Action sheds light on the understanding of «the living Tradition of the whole Church» (DV 12) for the reading of the Holy Scriptures. After a reminder of some elements of history, a brief return to the thought of Maurice Blondel makes it possible to clarify the idea of Tradition as a living process which unites the two Testaments, or the mystery of the relation between the letter and the spirit, as writes H. de Lubac. Thanks to the work of the philosopher of Aix, we understand better that “the saints are the authentic interpreters of Sacred Scripture” (Benedict xvi).
