Yet it challenged the theological options of modern Christian anthropology. This programmatic article is introduced historically by Bernard Joassart from the NRT archives, and illuminated theologically and pastorally by Marie-Gabrielle Lemaire. It is completed by translations of foreign texts. Finally, the essential study by Hans Urs von Balthasar, published in 1975 in the NRT: “Henri de Lubac. l’oeuvre organique d’une vie” (Henri de Lubac: the organic work of a life), a true introduction to the study of his colleague and friend.
