520 _aThis article examines the professional recognition of older adults in vulnerable situations and the experiences of those who support them in a European logistics company. To do this, we look at the process of self-construction coaches on to help them understand the social dynamics underlying the actions of older adults. How do professional approaches geared toward recognition foster the involvement of older people in the workplace? An exploratory study conducted in 2022 among staff coaches, supplemented by an on-site observation carried out in autumn 2023, revealed the existence of a certain subjective distance in the consideration of others. In many situations, older adults are able to find meaning in their work by finding a sense of community and collaboration.
