520 | _aPsychodrama is playing an active role in the second life of psychoanalysis. It is one of the first attempts to spread the analytic practice to new populations; to children and psychotics in particular. It is not only a novel technique, an upheaval of the habitual geography of psychoanalysis in which the couch/armchair set-up gives way to the playing space, but also, it embodies a new perspective for the analyst’s contemplation. Freud invented the classic cure, using the couch and based on the model of the dream. Quite different is the setting of psychodrama: a space open to gestures as much as to speech. | ||
