520 _aMost theoretical discussions of citizens’ assemblies have thus far focused on their representativeness, their deliberative quality or their place in democracy. This scruple, however, is based on unrealistic expectations for such innovative institutions. Conversely, this contribution argues that the presence of particular conflicting interests together could constitute one of the attractive features of citizen’s assemblies. An adequately regulated conflict could bring to light and contribute to correcting injustices that have been hitherto inapparent.
