520 _a‪The “Reconnaissance des Acquis de l'Expérience” (Recognition of Acquired Experience) system developed by the “Différent et Compétent Réseau” (Different and Competent Network) association in the sheltered employment sector is analysed from the theoretical perspective of the socio-technical analysis of training environments. The system is presented in the context in which it emerged, at the point where public policies on disability and vocational training overlap. Through the analysis of interviews with fourteen successful disabled workers, we are able to identify the essential operators of the system and draw up a typology of its uses. Beyond the personal journeys it inspires, this training system results in revitalised mediation pathways between ordinary employment and sheltered employment.‪
