520 _aWith regard to trauma and neurosis, the primal scene organises and structures the psyche in sexual and generational difference. For the psychotic, however, it seems to be shattering. In children, what is at stake in its interpretation is the furtherance of psychic structuring. Contrary to the classical viewpoint, the treatment of an autistic child shows the primal scene being represented. However, it is then its counter-cathexis that needs to be fostered, along with a quest for symbolisation.
