520 _aThe method aims to make tangible the perception of the effects in the session of objects which emerge in the transference before it is possible to name them. “Guessing” precedes “constructing” and “interpreting”. In the temporality of the here-and-now, the consequence precedes the cause: the object leads to the drive which, itself constructs the object. This singular trajectory, often consisting of missed opportunities, mobilizes the psychic work of the analyst. Thus, the objects that emerge in analysis are the product of a reconstruction in situ which can only be known at the end. And yet these same objects are the ground on which the gradual deployment of interpretations is based. Thus the object is a creation of the analyst through construction: inscribed in memories, the object is subjected to a fictional work before attaining visibility by extracting itself from its oedipal roots subject to the stumbling-block of melancholic attractions.
