520 _aThrough an exploration of the avatars of the residues in the transmission between generations, this paper tries to problematize the question of what in the mind presents itself as an anachronism, as a form of the residue of the trace of the other. It will be explored as the fate of this residueof the enigmatic message that comes from the other, an unrepresented trace that must be translated and that can give rise to symptoms, to forms of repetition and amputations of subjectivity. The illustration of a clinical case will allow the author to show the issues at stake in the transmission of the enigmatic residue coming from previous generations as one of unsymbolized experience, not only in terms of traumatic content, but also in terms of psychic processes that block the potential for a historicizing reprise after the event.
