520 _aAs a meeting point for community, schools and families, a mediation role has been defining itself over the past few years in Quebec: school-family-community workers. The reflection expressed in this article is based on a research in which intercultural workers have a mediation role related to school and family’s collaborations. Six intercultural workers have been encountered through semi-structured interviews. Our results show the contribution of the role of mediation and highlights possible undesirable effects of it. Our article gives us the opportunity to explore works done in other disciplines to anticipate challenges and factors which can impact the implementation of a role of mediation in regard to school and immigrant families collaborations.
