| 520 | _aA two-year observation of a pediatric home hospitalization team shows how nurses work in coordination with parents. It is less an invasion of the home by the medical that we observe in pediatric home hospitalization, than an enlistment of parents in the nursing care, whether it is to assist nurses who find themselves alone on a visit, or to allow parents to become more autonomous in the realization of nursing care. Parents are then required to assume the delicate position of delivering nursing care for their own child, including for invasive actions that cause discomfort. The transfer of nursing care work to the parents allows nurses to withdraw in small steps, while giving parents control over their child’s medical trajectory. | ||
