Using the life story method, this qualitative study applies a developmentalist approach to international careers. The results clearly highlight two standard profiles: firstly, doctors with an interstitial career as a nurse who eventually find occupation in their original profession; secondly, those who definitively turn to the nursing profession. Furthermore, the interviews emphasize the socioeconomic, motivational, and cultural factors that may explain this expatriation. | ||
