520 _aThis text starts by defining an interstice in general. Then it focuses on interstices that can be observed at the “intersection” between engineering (mainly computer science), management science, and psychoanalysis. Next, observations and interpretations are made regarding interstices and the role of imaginary processes in the field of computer science research. The next point is a more theoretical reflection on the “ana-logics” and discontinuities in both mathematics and science. Applications are given in computer science, management, and psychoanalysis. I make a comparison between the role of analogical calculation in computer science versus the enumeration of analogies in psychoanalysis. The text concludes with the interest in studying interstices between computer science, management science, and psychoanalysis. What does the analysis of interstices really bring to management science? I think that it is both a space for freedom and a higher degree of predictability. The case seems particularly clear for high-tech organizations where the questions raised by imaginary forces are strongly denied.
