520 _aThis research aims to show the importance of skills assessments in the context of social control, a device for measuring the gap between business requirements and the results for each employee. Specifically, we were interested in employees’ perceptions of the impact of the assessment of their skills on the social management of the company. The results show that employees are very attached to skills assessments, both to advance within their organization and when they are interested in a position in another. This study is purely exploratory. The methodology is qualitative, relying on a textual analysis conducted among employees in various sectors. The data were processed using ALCESTE software.
