520 _aThe so-called liberated company promotes the ideal of democratic management of the company, but covers a multitude of forms of work organization. In this article, we propose to characterize the liberated company with respect to organizational design literature. Following a review of the literature on major models of organizational design and a review of the professional literature on corporate liberation, we propose a diagnostic interpretive framework. We then apply this framework to the case of Pocheco, a liberated company, in order to characterize the organizational design of the liberated company.
