Conversely, we learn from our clinical, individual and group practice, and it enriches our metapsychological knowledge. Within a group analysis situation, instinctive cathexis is manifest in an obvious way in certain intersubjective movements. Alternating binding and unbinding processes are witness to the bipolarity of instincts.
