520 _aThe Wittgensteinian concept of “seeing as” plays an important role in several analyses Paul Ricœur devoted to the fields of literature and the social dimension of human action. This article proposes a path through these analyses that highlights both the continuities and the differences between the various ways Ricœur used this concept. Finally, the fruitfulness of the concept is also demonstrated by applying it in another context: translation theory. Ricœur himself ventured into this field in some short articles, later collected under the title On Translation (transl. 2006), which invite a more in-depth investigation of this theme.
