How can we ensure that opposing theoretical convictions do not turn into an institutional symptom? With the help of a clinical presentation, the necessity and capacity of the clinician to resist attacks on his/her theoretical framework will be highlighted. It is by ensuring that the difference of the educative Other is recognised that he/she will guarantee the ideological flexibility of institutional thinking.
