260 _c2016.

520 _aThe article draws on a clinical group of adolescents undergoing therapy, and on a structural analysis of video games and films of zombies. Ideology is defined as a “rhetorical apparatus’’ which depends on myths, linking group and individual discourse. The analysis draws on the “hero with a scar’’ as a prototype narrative which confronts zombies. Zombies combine the dimension of death, its negation (living death) and reveal the terror of the sexual. The adolescent can use these videos games as a means of elaboration by confronting his/her fear of sex whilst covering it up; in this way he/she can work through his/her questions concerning the uncertainties of gender and of death.
