520 _aThis article aims to elucidate the reasons for the success of groups for analysing practice in the professional world over these last years. To this end, revisiting the French history of group dynamics will enable us first to identify the exclusion of tasks and skills in the first training seminars in favour of an analysis of the here-and-now of the diagnostic groups. It was no doubt economic and administrative pressure, its mishaps and deleterious effects, which placed this work at the heart of the considerations of several French clinicians as well as of groups of analysis and training groups. Drawing on clinical vignettes, the author tries to show how it is possible to articulate group psychoanalysis with the constraints of the professional activity and organisational functioning at the heart of which it is located.
