520 _aThe author envisages the function of writing in the clinical situation as a task of taking hold of the object at a distance from its encounter. Drawing on the document called “dossier-guide” and the utilisation that can be made of it in family placement, it is a matter of introducing transference issues subsequent to the encounter. Reference to the epistolary novels of the 18th century contributes to enriching the vision of a relationship in which the question of deception in love coincides with the indispensable de-ception ( dé-ception) that every subject must come to terms with in his relationship with the object. The alternation of moments of taking hold, letting go, and then of taking hold again, participates in the dynamic of psychic elaboration with which every clinician is faced at key moments in his interventions. The context of mediated visits in family placement is the reference point for this.
