This environment certainly still has a strong general tendency to focus on profitability and cost cutting, but it seems nevertheless possible, according to Demerouti, to act positively when it comes to the resources of individuals. The development and the valuation of these internal and external resources would then allow for better adaptation and greater resistance to the requirements of the profession.
