520 _aIntroduction: pediatric care is a context in which the concept of specific care should be considered, hereby suggesting a reflection on formalizing the notion of pediatric care. Context: the concept of care applied to nursing care offers a framework for professionals. Pediatric care presents specificities that lead the concept of care—which is currently only formalized in a general manner or in specific cases such as neonatology—to be adapted. Results: according to various theories, the formalization of a concept specifically for children aged one to fifteen seems to be lacking. Discussion: building a framework for the concept of pediatric care, based on recommendations and evidence, could be useful to formalize the work of pediatric nurses. The notion needs to be more clearly defined. Conclusion: the notion of pediatric care brings together conceptual trends that are adapted to the specificities of pediatrics, providing practical considerations.
