520 | _aHow does one address God in celebration of the Eucharist? How is humanity’s relation to God and God’s relation to humanity qualified and interpreted? It is not self-evident to read the Ordo Missae as a veritable theological source. Liturgy seen as primary doxology in the sense that Jean-Yves Lacoste gives it in his dictionary of theology invites us to reconsider our usual theologies, far too rare an exercise. Liturgy invites and incites reconsidering our idea of orthodoxy: first of all a just praise, then doctrinal exactness. The author proposes to investigate this question through a methodology consisting of in-depth reading and semantic analysis of the Ordo Missae in the most recent Latin version of the Roman Missel. | ||
