From those doubts, the paper offers a recognition of the technical potential that powers the smart city model as well as divergent poetics and alternative criticisms. Thus, two phases of smart cities may be defined, highlighting the historical transformations and strategic adaptations of the model over recent years. The paper then describes cases that contradict the smart city model and proposes an exploration of speculative openings beyond the boundaries of technical excellence, in a strictly technological field. | ||
