520 | _aThe aim of this article is to outline a Schützian theory of emotions, in order to highlight the role that the emotional sphere plays in the daily life-world attitude. The first section analyzes those places in Alfred Schütz’s thought in which emotions are implicated. The second section deals with the possibility of bringing the Viennese sociologist’s theoretical framework into the analysis of emotions, mobilizing some fundamental Schützian notions such as type, stock of knowledge, and relevance. In the concluding section, the article aims to outline a socio-phenomenological theory of emotions, deepening the fruitful dialogue Schütz developed between phenomenology and social theory on the specific theme of emotions, with a view to mutual implementation. | ||
