245 0 0 _aPublic Health and North-South Skills Transfer: Conditions for an Intercultural Approach
260 _c2008.
500 _a74
520 _aThe article aims to present critical elements to support inter-cultural reflection based upon a sociological reference framework. This necessitates engagement in a process of exchange that takes local context into account. This approach, using a dynamic relationship of interaction, provides opportunity for re-balancing, adjustment, and monitoring and regulation of the implementation of health promotion programmes. Finally, it also allows for better supervision and driving change for action on the social determinants of health as well as the step by step development of a more equitable ethical core group in health. This approach is based on the validity and relevance of the skills transfer and on the conditions of its implementation.
