520 _aThis paper explores the formal renewals resulting from the digital transition of comics by focusing on the way in which digital publication allows us to rethink the notion of the comic board, understood as a central unit of production, perception, and diffusion of the medium in its printed version. In the field of comics studies, the notion of the board is still often confused with the page. However, the characteristics of the screen invite us to reexamine the solidarity between these two notions, whose applicability hardly conforms to the observable manifestations in digital publication. This work will focus on comics existing both in printed form and in plural digital versions: the digitized albums distributed on the Izneo platform, the serial Les autres gens by Thomas Cadène, and the polymorphic work of Lisa Mandel in Une année exemplaire.
