The adjusted odds ratios were calculated for variables with significant p values. The qualitative study was conducted from 25 to 31 July 2011. Grouped interviews were used to collect women’s perceptions of modern contraception. Content analysis was performed. Conclusion: Improving the socio-economic characteristics of women and raising public awareness about modern contraception would contribute to a better use of modern contraceptives in the Mbacké health district.
