520 _aAging represents a period of deep fragility for the individual and for people around him. Institutions (centers for disabled workers, day-care occupational centers, residences) have to cope nowadays with disabled aging people. We question the interests and limits of concepts such as competences and resources in an institutional context and in a particular life period. Indeed social events such as retirement or private family events (for example the death of a relative with carer function) are at the origin of crises at an individual, family, or institutional level. We propose to consider competences and resources in the context and in the framework of the therapeutic relation.
