520 _aThe relationship between sisters is a complex one and often, in families where, for different reasons, the parents could have a containment function for their children, siblings form a relationship based on a mutual help that alternates with the usual competition. Nevertheless, these bonds allow the children to heal and can sometimes persist and lock the adults in a relation of mutual dependence which paralyzes them.
