520 _aThe theme of inclusion has reinforced the idea that rights have been extended and that the concerns of people with disabilities and their relatives are now part of ordinary life. The respect of their intimacy and the acceptance of their sexuality should not be a problem any more than it should be for all citizens. But social representations and professional cultures continue to weigh heavily, while changes in society lead to a need for recognition. On the other hand, there are difficulties in guaranteeing a balance between the rights of individuals and their protection, particularly against violence. This leads the author discuss the evolution of legal texts, as well as experiments in the field of sexual assistance.
