After the Habsburg victory, the project finished up as a literature of opposition. This article shows how the literary school of Martin Opitz reacted to the antagonism between German national literature and the Habsburg Emperors, and how the poets tried to overcome it via strategies ranging from acerbic criticism to total submission. | ||
