520			_aL’imitation est une compétence d’emblée disponible chez l’humain qui assure des fonctions fondamentales pour le développement. Cette recherche montre que la capacité d’imitation n’est pas impossible chez l’enfant autiste. Nous avons mesuré l’imitation spontanée, induite et la reconnaissance d’être imité chez deux groupes constitués d’enfants tunisiens âgés entre 6 et 11 ans, avec tsa léger/moyen et avec tsa sévère. Tous ces enfants quelle que soit la sévérité de leur trouble, sont capables d’au moins une des formes d’imitation observée.
520			_aThe ability to imitate is a readily available skill that humans have, one that provides fundamental functions for development. This research highlights the fact that it is not impossible for autistic children to develop the ability to imitate. We measured spontaneous and induced imitation, as well as the recognition of being imitated, in two groups of autistic children from Tunisia aged between 6 and 11 years with light/medium asd and with severe asd. All of these children, regardless of the severity of their disorder, were capable of engaging in at least one form of imitation.
