Dans cet article, il sera question d’un roman dystopique, La brigade de l’œil de G. Guéraud (2007), qui imagine une société sans image et ses transgressions. À partir de là, comprenant la nécessité de la présence de l’image pour la créativité et la symbolisation, l’auteur illustre le rapport excessif à l’image des adolescentes dépendantes des images sur les réseaux sociaux, fascinées par les photographies trafiquées de YouTubeuses ou Instagrameuses dites influenceuses.

Omnipresent in the public, private, and intimate space, images participate in the life of the individual and in his or her psychic development. This article will discuss a dystopian French novel, La Brigade de l’Œil (Guéraud 2007), which portrays a society without images and the transgressions of that society. Based on this understanding of the need for the presence of the image to enable creativity and symbolization, I will illustrate the extreme relationship with the image that can be seen in adolescent girls who are dependent on the images on social networks and fascinated by the photographs that are exploited by socially influential YouTubers or Instagrammers.
