Le passage, en 1970, dans les textes de loi, de l’autorité paternelle à l’autorité parentale en est le reflet concret. Il distingue la phobie scolaire du décrochage : si la première requiert avant tout des soins psychiatriques, le second nécessite une autre approche. Celle-ci, selon lui, réclame d’abord la restauration de l’autorité dans le dialogue, et ensuite seulement des solutions adaptées à la jeunesse actuelle.
