520			_aRésuméL’intégration du football corse aux compétitions nationales fut perçue comme le parachèvement de la francité ; mais, se voyant opposer l’image de l’altérité et non celle, tant espérée, de l’égalité, les Corses développèrent un profond sentiment de victimisme. Au tournant des années soixante-dix, le football devint un élément de l’éveil de l’autonomisme, puis du nationalisme insulaire, sans que cela débouchât sur un véritable football identitaire.

Then in the early 1970s football contributed to the awakening of Corsican autonomism and nationalism, without becoming a genuine identitary football.
