| 520 | _aFrom March to July 2014, Paris hosted its first retrospective of a videaste’s work, at the Grand Palais museum. This exceptional event enabled a large audience to discover Bill Viola’s art. A “digital painter,” he implements the most high-tech tools to share his passion for the Mysteries, the great mystical traditions, and the history of painting. Due to the way the galleries were arranged, visitors could experience a personal encounter with the artwork. The author of this article attempts to reconstitute the impressions and emotions she felt.
