520 _aThe socialist newspaper, La Sentinelle, reports in the inter-century on the main crises that shook the world at that time by taking clear positions. Partly, these positions are those of the socialists of the time. However, we will note throughout this work that there are differences on issues such as colonialism, support for the Boers or criticism of Italian-Ottoman war. Deeply anti-militarist and collectivist, La Sentinelle wants to lead the Neuchâtel population to reject the war and revolt against the social inequalities that slap the workers. Both Christian and Marxist socialist newspaper, it is the main spreader of socialist ideas in the Jura and Neuchâtel regions.
