Ces derniers ne sont pas sans conséquence sur les vivants, dont l’humanité partagée se trouve détruite tout à coup ou progressivement. Cette séparation inéluctable des corps, est ici abordée d’un point de vue du choc qu’elle produit. Ce choc peut dissocier la personne et l’engager dans un processus de transe. Cette dernière est vue comme une passerelle adaptative permettant de traverser la douleur de la perte. Elle amène à une réorganisation psychique, identitaire et de vie pour ceux qui restent.

The latter is seen as an adaptive bridge allowing the person to go through the pain of the loss. It leads to a mental, identity and life reorganization for those who remain.
