| 520 | _aThe non-profit public sector (NPPS) is a topic studied by economics and management sciences. Initially supported by the economic sciences, the NPPS went through a crisis of legitimacy, which gave rise to the doctrine of New Public Management (NPM). For almost 40 years, this doctrine has been nurtured by the management sciences. The application of the NPM, which is sometimes the subject of fierce criticism, is now leading both disciplines (economics and management) to reintroduce a forgotten ethical dimension. This article reviews these developments in public management and the links between economics and management highlighted by the work of Pr. Robert Le Duff. | ||
