En effet, une personne âgée « dépendante » dépend souvent d’un membre de son entourage.Cet « aidant familial » a ses limites et lorsqu’elles sont atteintes, se pose la délicate question du relais. L’institution peut assurer ce relais mais qu’en est-il du respect de la volonté de celui qui sera « déplacé » ? Qu’en dit le droit ? Quelle position éthique adopter ? Quelle est le positionnement de chacun des acteurs dans cette période où la fin d’une vie approche ?

Indeed a “dependent” elderly often depends on a member of his family circle.That “family caregiver” has his limits, and when he reaches them, he asks himself the delicate question of taking over. The institution can insure this taking over, but where does the respect for the will of the one “displaced” stand ? What does the law state ? What is the ethic position to be adopted ? What is the position of each of the actors in that period when a life comes close to its end ?
