245 0 0 _aIntergenerational Violence: A Case in Psychoanalytical Family Therapy
260 _c2013.
500 _a39
520 _aWe have shown, through a psychoanalytic therapy, that the transgenerational dimension induces a great violence in the family bonds. It may fall upon or be turned against one family member, perhaps the most fragile one, who appears then as an intruder to eliminate (Duez 2002). This reoccurs within the same generation, for instance with the sudden death of an infant, and with abortions. We will employ Bergeret’s theory (the four levels of reflection on the primal phantasies) and the notion of “fundamental violence.”
