520 _aIntercultural and transcultural dimensions are an intrinsic part of the group situations in New Caledonia. This was why many of us felt it was necessary to conceive of a transcultural practice in, by, and for the group. It was a question of discussing the setting-up of an intermediate transcultural space (itcs) which constitutes an alternative group setting of verbalization, listening and cross-analyses for elaborating traumatic traces by and with the group and its participants. Writing and thinking with others is an opportunity for understanding the process of intermixing in group psychoanalysis, for the group clinician is pushed to try to modelize his framework for understanding psychic phenomena in intercultural groups through the emergence of a group ethno-psychoanalysis via a “hybrid” group analysis.
