520			_aLes travaux sur la notion de déprise dans le processus de vieillissement s’attachent à explorer comment une personne vieillissante opère un certain nombre de négociations pour réaménager son quotidien, faisant face aux pertes tant physiques que cognitives relatives au vieillissement. Cet article cherche à éclairer le suicide à la lumière du concept de déprise, c’est-à-dire comment le suicide décidé et anticipé d’une personne vieillissante est un acte de prise ultime sur sa vie et sa mort.
520			_aWork on the notion of “de-taking” (a French notion that goes beyond that of disengagement) in the aging process focuses on exploring how an aging person makes a number of negotiations to rearrange his or her daily life, coping with the physical and cognitive losses associated with aging. This article seeks to shed light on suicide in the light of the concept of “de-taking,” i.e., how the decided and anticipated suicide of an aging person is an act of ultimate control over his or her life and death.
