520 | _aAs the Voice Consortium announces our entry into the world of Hypervoice, in which voice will be as integrated into media as text and image currently are, this article aims to explore the communication issues of this tool, which is both biological and synthetic. It looks at the gradual evolution of the status of voice in our acoustic environment, and considers its shift from the public to the private sphere through the integration of personalized interactive technologies.
